From luke at foolishgames.com Mon Jun 30 00:09:36 2008 From: luke at foolishgames.com (Lucas Holt) Date: Mon, 30 Jun 2008 00:09:36 -0400 Subject: [Midnightbsd-mports] graphics/graphviz, WINE, Firefox Message-ID: <6B21DA43-5960-4F56-83C5-4671D34E5882@foolishgames.com> I casually looked into updating graphviz in mports today. The current version is having some problems on magus, and we might as well go to a newer version. However, recent versions (at least since 2.18) have a very annoying configure script. It tests for "working lineno" which bash, zsh, and netbsd's sh have. Our sh (ash) does not do several things that configure expects now. (recent autotools generate this) While this is just one port, I think we'll get into trouble here. I've updated our sh in CURRENT and would appreciate testing. I think we should commit this before 0.2-RELEASE to save us some headaches. Here's the error on the old port: http://www.midnightbsd.org/magus/ports/167378 Also, I think we need to look at what is needed to get WINE and Firefox updated in ports. (1.0 and 3.0 respectively) It would have to be native firefox and I'm thinking a new port is in order. (unbranded at that) I think WINE just needs a few patches to get working (in src) Lucas Holt Luke at FoolishGames.com ________________________________________________________ MidnightBSD.org (Free OS) JustJournal.com (Free blogging)
