LMDB is an ultra-fast, ultra-compact key-value data |
2 |
store developed by Symas for the OpenLDAP Project. |
3 |
|
4 |
It uses memory-mapped files, so it has the read |
5 |
performance of a pure in-memory database while still |
6 |
offering the persistence of standard disk-based |
7 |
databases, and is only limited to the size of the |
8 |
virtual address space, (it is not limited to the |
9 |
size of physical RAM). LMDB was originally called |
10 |
MDB, but was renamed to avoid confusion with other |
11 |
software associated with the name MDB. |
